Hi, folks!

Hello, I’m Manish Kumar Dwivedi, born and raised in Gorakhpur (U.P.) and a graduate from Dehradun. Currently, I’m the Deputy General Manager at India’s leading learning platform, Physics Wallah.

 

As a child, I dreamed of becoming a doctor because of my passion for Biology, but life led me into the world of engineering (that’s a story for another day). My journey took a turn towards entrepreneurship, where I co-founded two ventures—an e-commerce platform, bestofsuperheroes.com, and an E-Media platform, therollingindian.com. Alongside three hometown friends, I gained invaluable experience in scaling businesses from 0 to 1. After a successful exit in 2018, I relocated to Bangalore to immerse myself in a dynamic environment and learn from accomplished minds. I unlearned a few things, learnt a lot more about 0-1 and slowly pushed myself towards executing 1-10 projects

 

I thrive on meeting new people, building meaningful relationships, and gaining fresh perspectives—elements that have been instrumental in my 9+ years of professional growth across sales, marketing, growth strategies, operations, and project management. I believe in the continuous pursuit of knowledge, as learning is not just essential, but also enjoyable.

Here are some of the learnings I have gathered in 9+ years of my professional career.
 

 I can successfully scale a subscription business from 0.96 Lakhs ARR to an ARR of 20 Cr.

  • I put customers at the center of what I do. To sell anything, you need to put yourself in the customer's shoes & ask a basic question- Will you buy it?

  • I excel at executing big-scale projects with given constraints & limited resources (necessity is the mother of invention, right?)

  • I am fairly intuitive but I always prioritize having data for my decision. I love breaking things down to micro-level and decide which way to go


I can align, train & lead a team from 2 to 96 people

  • I love to win but when my team wins, it gives me greater joy

  • I am great at storytelling and often use it to motivate people to put 100% into what they do

  • While I am a good individual contributor, I am a better leader. I have groomed and grown other leaders with me.


I strive to educate, refine & drive myself to be better each day

  • I am a fan of problem-solving (not talking about mathematical equations) but problems related to business and life.

  • I read books, both fiction and non-fiction to enhance my skills and develop perspectives

  • I stay calm when faced with adversity
